As much as I love Jen's scarf and the pattern, it's getting a little boring and I want to change it up a little before I get frustrated. Sometimes I look at the pattern and think it's too plain and I should have picked something a little more elaborate to show off my new skills. I also think the yarn has a peach tinge and I'm not as happy with it as I was when I chose it. So I decided to take a teeny break and start these alpaca mittens. I'm using the same pattern that I used when I made the practice mitten. I bought the yarn with myself in mind. It's called Baby Alpaca Grande Hand Dye by Plymouth Yarn Co. I absolutely love the way it feels so I thought it would be good for mittens. And it's good and chunky.
